Kathy R. Brandon- 2006 Recipient of the Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award

Brandon was chosen for her longtime service as a program instructor and her outstanding contributions to the STARBASE Louisiana program for fifth grade students. Students participate in a 25-hour integrated curriculum using aviation and space exploration as the theme.

Among her many contributions during her seven years with STARBASE, Brandon has presented many additions and innovations which enhance the curriculum, coordinated career mentors, conducted lessons on science topics, developed a student workbook, and authored or co-authored more than two-thirds of the lessons
