The Astronauts Memorial Foundation (AMF) hosted a Super Harvest Moon Citizen Science Project on October 6, 2025. The purpose of this project was to (a) educate the public about what a Super Moon is and why it occurs, (b) inform them about NASA’s Artemis Program (returning to the moon), and (c) use the photos to identify how weather and vantage points effect moon viewing experiences.
AMF received 35 submissions from citizens across the world, including 6 countries and 6 states throughout the US. Below are some of the featured shots, as well as a directory that houses all of the entries. Simply click on the hyperlinks below to see specific entries.
